The ball was seen headed to the boundary more often than not. At 34, he was playing like he did back in 1976 against the same opposition.
His hundred came in 56 balls. It would remain a world record for the fastest Test ton till 2014 when Misbah-ul-Haq equalised it. The joint record was broken by Brendon McCullum in 2016.
110 not out in 58 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes. A mauling England have not forgotten to this day.
