Samith Isuru’s all-round performance helped steer Karandeniya Central College to an eight-wicket win over S. de S. Jayasinghe Central College Dehiwala in their ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 inter-schools cricket match played at Karandeniya yesterday.
St. John’s College Panadura, Karandeniya Central College, Nalanda Boys School Minuwangoda, Vidyaloka College Galle, and Karunaratne Buddhist MV Ragama won their respective matches. All other matches ended in draws.
Kavindu Amantha of Karunaratne Buddhist MV Ragama took a match bag of 11 wickets against Madampa MMV and Sasitha Manupriya of St. John’s College Panadura took 10 wickets in the match against Asoka Colombo.
