Boney Kapoor won't rest until Sridevi Bungalow is shelved
Priya Prakash Varrier has been making headlines after the trailer of the film has been released.
The trailer shows Priya Prakash Varrier in the role of an actress by the name of Sridevi, who appears to be very lonely. The trailer concludes with the death of the actress in a bathtub that appears to be quite similar to Sridevi’s death due to accidental drowning last year.
Boney Kapoor won’t rest
Post this, Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor has sent a legal notice to the team of the film.
The film producer is furious with the ‘sleazy’ representation of his wife’s life. A source close to Boney Kapoor told Deccan Chronicle, “Boney won’t play into their hands and make any statement as these people [behind Sridevi Bungalow] are only looking at how to generate curiosity in their pathetic film. But he will take every legal step to prevent this sleazy film from being made.”
“For Boney, a sleazy representation of his wife’s life is unacceptable. He will not rest easy until this project is aborted,” the website quoted the source as saying.
Written and directed by Malayalam director Prasanth Mambully, the film is slated to release in April.
